This page contains information on the Phoenix FD Toolbar.

Overview


Phoenix FD includes a toolbar with easy shortcuts to some of the most commonly used components, along with a wide variety of Quick Setups.

 

 

 

The Phoenix FD Toolbar can be easily pulled from its docked position by pulling at the top end of the toolbar.

If the Toolbar is not visible, check to make sure floating toolbars are set to display in 3ds Max by enabling Customize menu > Show UI > Show Floating Toolbars.


Toolbar Functions


The Phoenix FD toolbar provides the functions listed below.

 

ButtonDescription
Creates a Fire/Smoke Simulator.
Creates a Liquid Simulator.
Creates a Fire/Smoke Source.
Creates a Liquid Source.

Creates a Particle Shader.

Creates a Voxel Tuner. Click and hold the left mouse button to expose the option to create a Particle Tuner.

Creates a Plain Force. Click and hold the left mouse button to expose the option to create a Body Force, Follow Path Force, Wave Force or Turbulence Force.

Creates a Mapper.

Creates a PRT Reader.

Starts the Simulation.

Pauses/Resumes the Simulation.

Stops the Simulation. Note that you can stop a running simulation using the Shift+Escape key combination, or with the Escape key, if the option to do so is enabled in the PhoenixFD Global Preferences.

Deletes the Cache Files of the selected simulator from disk. If no simulator is selected it will prompt a window if you want to delete the caches of all visible simulators.

Sets up a Fire simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Burning Fuel with Smoke simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up an Explosion simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Gasoline Explosion simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Large-scale Smoke simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Cold Smoke simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Cigarette Smoke simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Candle simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Cloud simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Tap Water simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Milk simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Beer simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Coffee simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Honey simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Liquid Chocolate simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Blood Splatter simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Paints simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up an Ink in Water simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up a Waterfall simulation for the selected objects.

Sets up an Ocean simulation for the selected objects.

Opens the Documentation in the default browser.
