Rectangle Light

  • Implemented Shape function in UI to allow change from rectangular to ellipse

  • When creating a rectangle light, you can now control the direction by holding shift

  • Faster sampling calculation for area lights

Spot Light

  • Implemented directional control. Adding a spot light to the scene you can now hold down the Shift key and control the direction, cone size and penumbra angle of the spot light right when its created.

Sphere Light

  • Support for bitmap and texture projection

V-Ray Dome Light | VRayDomeLight

  • Implemented function where when you add a dome light to your scene you can actually control its direction by rotating the in scene object

The Light Intensity Tool

  • Implemented a way to adjust any light in the scene by hovering over the light in SketchUp. Clicking and dragging up or down will change the intensity of your light will be adjusted in real time.

V-Ray Render Elements

  • Added support for ExtraTexChannel – Produces a render with a single texture applied to all objects in the scene. The texture applied to the scene can be a bitmap or a procedural texture such as V-Ray Dirt or V-Ray Curvature.

  • Added support for custom ZDepthChannel – Provides information about each object's distance from the camera in the current view. Objects between the furthest and nearest points are rendered in varying shades of gray.

  • Added support for Denoiser – The V-Ray Denoiser takes an existing render and applies a denoising operation to it after the image is completely rendered out via normal means. The denoising operation detects areas where noise is present and smooths them out.
