This page provides information on the Environment Node in V-Ray for Blender.

Overview


 The environment node allows you to specify a color and a texture map to be used during GI and reflection/refraction calculations.

UI Path


 

||Node Editor|| > Add > Environment > Environment

 

Node


Background – Allows you to specify a texture or a color that is going to be used as the background of the scene.

GI – Enables the GI override which allows you to specify a texture or color that is going to be used as a background during the calculations of the Global Illumination.

Reflection – Enables the Reflection override which allows you to specify a texture or color that is going to be used as a background during the calculations of reflections.

Refraction – Enables the Refraction override which allows you to specify a texture or color that is going to be used as a background during the calculations of refractions.

 

 

 



To add an Environment override press Shift + Q and click on Environment.
