This page provides information about the Export and send as .vrscene to Chaos Vantage MAX script.



Overview


The Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage and Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage MAX scripts help you to send your 3ds Max scenes and animations to Chaos Vantage with a click of a button.



Installation


The installation of the tool comes with the installation of V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max, update 1 and later.

Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage

To access the script, go to ||Vantage toolbar|| > Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage (VantageToolbar_VantageSend)

If button is not visible, press and hold the Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage(VantageToolbar_VantageSendAnim) button to open the drop-down menu.

Usage


To use the script, just click on the Export and send the current scene as static .vrscene to Chaos Vantage or Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage button. The script will automatically:

  • Detect if you are using V-Ray 5 GPU as a renderer and ask if you would like to switch to it.
  • Stop IPR or Live Link session currently running.
  • Start Chaos Vantage if it is not already running.
  • Еxport the scene in a .vrscene file in the .max project location with the name of the .max file.
  • Open the scene in Chaos Vantage.
