Faster SSS


Another enhancement in the V-Ray Material is a brand-new subsurface scattering mode. With it you can render translucent materials faster and smoothly even the low-poly translucent objects.

Under the translucency menu, Illumination, you can now find two modes - Directional and the new mode - Uniform. The Uniform mode creates a slightly different look, but it also renders faster. This method spreads light more uniformly inside the material. Note that for now, this mode is supported only on V-Ray CPU.
