This page provides information about the installation process of Project Lavina and how to start it.

Installing Project Lavina

The Project Lavina installer automatically removes any previous installations. This allows seamless upgrade from previous versions. If you experience problems you can manually uninstall the previous versions to perform a clean install.

Before running the installation, make sure your Windows account has administrative privileges.

 

Run the installer.

1. Upon the start of the installation, Windows may ask you for permission to run the installer with administrator privileges. Please confirm.

2. You are presented with the Chaos Licensing Agreement. Please take a moment to review the agreement. Check the I accept checkbox and click Next to proceed.

 

 

 

3. In the next screen you see a summary for the current installation parameters and a note about the telemetry program.

By clicking Install Now you agree with the collection of non-personally identifiable usage information, such as hardware configuration, driver version, etc. If you do not want to participate, click the Cancel button. 

You can click the Customize button and adjust the corresponding installation settings.

 

 

 

 

 4. In the Customize screen you can change the installation directory and specify whether a firewall exception and a desktop icon should be added.

 

 

5. Clicking Next will display the license server parameters. Please check the Licensing page for additional information.

 

 

 

 

6. When ready click the Install Now button. If the installer detects previous versions of Lavina, they are automatically uninstalled.

 

 

 

7. If the installation was successful, you will get this screen. Press the Finish button.

 

 

 

Start Project Lavina

Once installed, you can start Project Lavina from the Start menu > Chaos Group > Start Lavina or search it directly in the Start menu. 

You can also start it from its installation directory. The default directory is C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Lavina where you can find and execute the lavina.exe file.
