The majority of error messages could be fixed by simply updating to the latest V-Ray version.

However, the following error is associated with bad/corrupt installation:




Solution

To resolve this issue:

  • Uninstall V-Ray for SketchUp. Please, see the following page for information on how to Uninstall V-Ray.
  • Make sure there are no leftover files and folders. To delete leftover files and folders, please check the following locations:

C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Chaos Group
C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 20**\SketchUp\Plugins (delete vfs.rb and vfs folders)

  • Proceed with the installation of V-Ray. Please, see the following page for information on how to Install V-Ray.
