Gizmos – Holds a list of the atmospheric gizmos that are going to be affected by the VRaySphereFade atmospheric.

Invert inside – Inverts the volume that is shaded, rendering the part of the scene that is outside the locator.

+ – Click to pick atmospheric gizmos from the scene to add them to the Gizmos list.

– Removes the selected gizmo from the Gizmos list.

Remove All – Removes all gizmos from the Gizmos list.

Falloff type – Specifies what dimensions of the gizmo to be taken into account.

Min dimension – Takes half of the shortest side of the gizmo box or half of the radius/height of the gizmo cylinder. When using sphere gizmos, the radius value is always used so the min/max dimensions give equal results
Max dimension – Takes half of the main diagonal of the gizmo box or cylinder. When using sphere gizmos, the radius value is always used so the min/max dimensions give equal results.
Absolute – Uses world units for the gizmo.

Relative falloff – Specifies a falloff coefficient relative to the gizmo dimensions to blend the content in the atmospheric gizmo with the background. It takes values from 0 to 1. Relative falloff is active only when Falloff type is set to Min dimension or Max dimension.

Absolute falloff – Specifies a falloff value in world units to blend the content in the atmospheric gizmo with the background. Absolute falloff is active only when Falloff type is set to Absolute.

Outside color – Specifies the color for the background - everything outside the atmospheric gizmos.

Affect alpha – When enabled, V-Ray renders an alpha channel where everything outside the atmospheric gizmos is transparent and the objects inside the gizmos have their normal alpha.

Example - Outside color

...

The Outside color (the area outside of that affected by the VRaySphereFade gizmo and its falloff) can be changed from a default of mid gray to any color required.

For the following examples, the Relative falloff has been set to a value of 0.5.
