VRscans does not need to be installed and is already installed with the typical V-Ray for 3ds Max or V-Ray for Maya installation. VRscans does need However, to use a VRscans material in a scene, a separate license for that plugin specifically, however, as its license is different than that of V-Ray itself. More information on purchasing a license for VRscans is found here (how to buy it and where to get the license from).the VRscans plugin must be available through your USB dongle or Online account for rendering.
