The Irradiance Map viewer tool allows you to navigate around a 3D projected version of a scene to view were GI samples were taken during the rendering process.

Note:The viewer is a separate program and does not require the V-Ray host application (Maya, 3ds Max, MODO, etc.) to be running.

Installation

By default, the installation of V-Ray for Houdini installs the irradiance map viewer in the folder [Program Files]\Chaos Group\V-Ray\ (question). A shortcut to the irradiance map viewer can be found within Start Menu > Programs (question).

Windows: start the imapviewer executable from C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\ (question)

Linux: start the imapviewer executable from (question)

Currently, on all operational systems the imapviewer.exe is located in V-Ray's folder (where the V-Ray files are extracted) > appsdk > bin.
