This section covers custom tools that ship with the Chaos Phoenix installation.

Overview

Phoenix provides the following custom tools:

  • Cache Converter –  converts already existing .aur cache sequences to OpenVDB sequences without simulating.
  • Standalone Previewer –  previews AUR, VDB and Field3D cache files without loading them into a DCC application such as 3ds Max or Maya. Can be used to save a sequence of images for the preview of an entire cached simulation. 
  • Standalone Previewer CLI – command line interface for the Phoenix Standalone Previewer. Previews by saving images without a graphics window or graphical user interface. 
  • Standalone Simulator – command line tool for simulating Phoenix simscene files. 
  • Simscene Node Viewer – allows you to preview and debug Phoenix simscene files.
